Leonardo Sandoval is a Brazilian tap dancer who has established a reputation in the tap world for adding his own Brazilian flavor to the American art form. In doing so, he has helped bring a new audience to Tap Dance. He has made numerous TV appearances in Brazil showcasing his talent. During his career, he has won numerous awards and recognitions including; Numerous TV appearances in Brazil. 2012 Finalist in Q’Viva - The Chosen. 2019 Finalist in the New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project. 2020 USArtists International grant from the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. TV features and interviews on PBS, BBC, MSNBC, the CW channel and Fox. In recent years, he has become a core member of Dorrance Dance, performing across the US and around the world at venues including; Joyce Theater, the Guggenheim Museum, London’s Sadler’s Wells, Canada’s National Arts Center, the Hong Kong Arts Festival, and many more.
