Jason Samuels Smith, Joseph Wiggan, and Jumaane Taylor slays the stage with a masterful arrangement of John Coltrane’s “Giant Steps”. Representing the true spirit of playful, cutting edge, sport and musicianship. This performance was apart of a cultural exchange program through the cultural affairs department of the U.S. Embassy, Vortex Dance Center, and the Philharmonics of Samara and Togliatti, Russia that was awarded to Derick K Grant to bring along a variety of tap dancers in celebration of National Tap Dance Day. Facilitating workshops and performance collaborations with local musicians and dancers within American Jazz Culture.
