One Thousand Pieces excerpt (1) (Pacific Northwest Ballet)
In an unprecedented situation, like many performing arts organizations around the world, we canceled our upcoming performances two days before opening night due to Covid-19. Alejandro Cerrudo’s One Thousand Pieces would’ve been a PNB premiere, but was only performed for a small gathering of dancers, staff, and students. When PNB realized a closure was possible, we began working with our wonderful dancer (AGMA), musician (PNBOPO), stage (IATSE Local #15), and wardrobe (TWU) unions, as well as the choreographers, designers, and music rights holders for a special arrangement to film and share these works of art with our existing ticket-holders. This excerpt is from that filming.
